Police in suburban Detroit seized more than 50 dogs, cats and rabbits from a home and shelters said dozens of people have come forward with adoption requests.
Witnesses said the 65-year-old homeowner and her 34-year-old daughter were taken into custody after complaints about the Redford Township home's odor led police to discover the animals in the home. Possible charges against the two were unclear, The Detroit News reported Friday.
