In just the last few months, Utah has seen two animal hoarding cases hit the news. First, in March a Bluffdale woman was charged with animal cruelty for keeping dozens of dogs in her home improperly cared for and in unsanitary conditions, according to ABC 4 News. And in June ABC 4 News reported that police found 75 poodles, nine of which were deceased, along with eight other dogs being kept in a small cabin in rural Duchesne County by an elderly man who passed away soon after the discovery..."
