Cat hoarding case stinks up Wash. neighborhood

LONGVIEW, Wash. – Neighbors said the stench is unbearable.

At least 30 cats are living inside a Longview, Wash. home and Animal Control Officer Mike Nicholson said there’s nothing more they can do beyond issuing a citation, which happened last month.

“In there that evening, you couldn’t find neglect,” said Nicholson.

There’s no limit on the number of pets a person can own in Longview.

Neighbors said the cats’ owner was able to care for them until she died last summer. Then, they said, her niece took the cats and the smell quickly got out of control..."  More & video
