ANZA - An Anza man is behind bars for allegedly hoarding dogs on his property.
Riverside County Animal Services says more than 70 dogs were living in deplorable conditions with some needing medical attention.
61 year old Dave Maguire -- known as the Dogman of Anza -- was taken into custody Friday morning. County authorities say he had been cited numerous times and could be facing animal cruelty charges.
"In cases like this, we always try to work with the person and get cooperation. We have never gotten that here. We just want to see these dogs get to a proper place," said John Welsh with Riverside County Animal Services.
