CHAPMANSBORO, Tenn. -- The Cheatham County sheriff said 63 dogs were found at what he called a puppy mill Thursday on Issac Clifton Road.
Fifteen to 20 animals of multiple breeds were taken to an animal shelter by the county's Animal Control .The sheriff said charges will be coming to the property owner and that a warrant was going to be served for animal cruelty ."We had a call today from the owners for us to come pick up their dogs," said Eddie Blackwood, director of Animal Control. "We're going to transport them here to the shelter, assess each one of them."Blackwood said that once the animals have been examined and assessed by a veterinarian, Animal Control will make a decision about whether or not each dog can be adopted..."
