Waco police officers seized four horses, one of which is blind, and a donkey Thursday morning from the property of a woman who’s charged with cruelty to livestock animals.
Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said the horses would be taken to the Waco-McLennan County Animal Shelter to be housed until a court can decide on a permanent home for them.
It is the second time in a week that officers have gone to the property at 2100 Madera Dr., where last Saturday officers had to euthanize a horse because it was in such poor health.
