Halifax Humane Society needs homes for 60 cats and kittens



Some 60 cats, many of them babies, were taken in by Halifax Humane Society Thursday, after a woman became overwhelmed by their sheer numbers.
The cats' caretaker, Michelle Hurley, says she was trying to provide a rescue program to help the cats, but their numbers grew too quickly. Humane Society officials say it wasn't a case of animal hoarding.
The Humane Society is in desperate need of foster homes for the younger kittens, some of which are still bottle-feeding. It is also looking for people to adopt the cats and give them a happy home..."  More
