- A Grand Bay animal breeder is busted after animal control officers discovered the filth they were living in. Seventy-two dogs, 20 chickens, 11 goats, nine horses, six ducks, four geese and one pig all lived at a home in the 13000 block of McGregor Road. "On every inch of that property there was an animal," said Officer Carmelo Miranda of Mobile County Animal Control. "There was just feces being left there for days and piling up," he said.
- The animal's owner, who was not home when News Five went to the house, has business cards claiming she breeds CKC registered dogs. According to the card, she sells them at the Mobile Flea Market. Miranda says the animals appeared to be fed, but all were living in unsanitary conditions.
- Twenty-five of the animals were seized this week by officers, and 14 of the dogs were in such poor health they had to be euthanized. The owner, who is not facing criminal charges, agreed to keep just eight of the remaining animals and find good homes for the rest..." More & video
