NORTH AURORA — The air inside 207B Linn Court was thick Wednesday with the smells of mold, grime and rotted food. The carpeting, stiffened by ground-in crumbs, dirt and dust, crunched underfoot. The basement stairs disappeared into a 4-foot-deep sea of garbage, while more piled trash threatened to spill down the stairs to the second floor.
And that was after Restoration Tech workers had pulled four 30-yard Dumpsters’ worth of debris from the house.
“We’re on our fifth Dumpster now, and I’d guess we’ll probably fill six more before we’re through here,” said Patrick Kackert, president of the Batavia-based disaster cleanup company.
“This may not be the worst ‘hoarding house’ job we’ve ever handled, but it’s one of the top five.”.." More & photos
