Are animal hoarding cases increasing in East Tennessee?
10News has reported on at least six animal hoarding investigations since 2010. The most recent case was this week, when dozens of cats, both dead and alive, were discovered at home on Murphy Road in Knox County.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office runs the Knox County Animal Control division. They believe awareness and extra resources have increased the number of hoarding busts East Tennessee has witnessed recently.
Their animal control officers serve up to two search warrants a month for cruelty or hoarding..." More
